Promoting Refugee Legal Aid in the South

image

Fahamu has launched its new Refugee Programme. The Refugee Programme is the secretariat of the Southern Refugee Legal Aid Network and hosts the Network website, an information portal to promote and support the provision of refugee legal aid. See http://www.srlan.org/beta/, Although not complete, hopefully you will already find useful resources. We would be grateful if you would be able to help us complete the site by providing information on NGOs in your country we are unaware of that provide services to refugees. Please send suggestions to Barbara[at]Fahamu.org.

The Refugee Programme is seeking contributions for the Project on Domestic Refugee Law, which will produce a series of reviews of domestic refugee law in countries of the global south. The first stage of the Project will focus on southern and east Africa and southeast Asia. More detail and a list of southern states with domestic refugee legislation can be found in the terms of reference. If you are interested in being a volunteer contributor, please e-mail your CV to marina[at]Fahamu.org
