WRITING STYLE
Writing for journals is different from most other forms of writing because journals insist on a uniformity of style in the
papers that they publish.
If you understand the conventions established by journals, you will find it easier to write your paper.
There are four things that cause most people difficulties:
-
which verb tense to use;
-
whether to use we, I or it;
-
writing to suit the habits of the reader;
-
brevity.
