What to include in the introduction
Any introduction will tell the story of how the paper came to be written. Some introductions include more. Particularly for
more technical or scientific papers, an introduction may include:

objectives of the project or experiment;

scope of the research (how far, how long, how deep has your study gone?);

glossary of terms;

key definitions;

acknowledgements;

short guide to the paper, section by section.
